Toledo to host public meetings on street paving process

The City of Toledo Division of Engineering Services will hold a series of public meetings to detail the 2012 street construction and resurfacing program.

The community planning forums will feature small group discussions of the city’s process for rating street conditions and selecting streets for repairs; the work that goes into repairing streets; information about potential traffic detours around the city due to construction projects, and an opportunity for citizens to ask questions and give input on the 2013 street construction and resurfacing program.


One meeting will be held in each city council district. All meetings will be held from 6-8p.m. Meetings have been scheduled as follows:


April 17 – District 5 at Christ Presbyterian Church, 4225 Sylvania Ave.


April 26 – District 1 at Sullivan Center, Gesu Catholic Church, 2049 Parkside


May 1 – District 3 at East Toledo Family Center, 1020 Varland Ave.


May 2 – District 4 at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church, 640 Indiana Ave.


May 3 – District 2 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 915 N. Reynolds Rd.


May 29 – District 6 at West Toledo Branch Library, 1320 Sylvania Ave.
